In case of repeated goose attack, we are establishing an alert light (like batman had except it will be a giant goose beamed into the sky) and Rich Klaus will lead the rapid response team.
Again, this is no laughing matter ... Barb is still in trauma over last night's events. We were not able to document her actual attack but the following will give you a sense of what she endured while some of you (who will remain nameless) watched on without coming to her aid.

William was knocked over by a goose as well! (And he managed to hang onto the dog.) I can fix our goose problem with 1 word.....BRUNO! Hope Barb is okay.
I agree with Karen. A couple of dogs off leash should do the trick. I volunteer Maggie. Great videos!
I went to a lecture w/ Ron Wilson of Natorp's . He said detroying their nest's/ eggs are illegal (but he wasn't looking and wouldn't report me!)The ladies at the garden club gasp at my suggestion and well, it was fun! He said they don't like grapes and you can sprinkle GRAPES around the nest/lake and they may go somewhere else. He also said you can put string 12 inches apart around the lake. It prevents the geese from walking in, forcing them to fly in. They don't like that so they go somewhere else. Oh, if anyone needs recipes for goose, goose egg souffle etc. Let me know......lol.
THE GEESE ARE GONE!
After repeated harrassment from the Klaus family and legal nest and egg distruction, it looks like they have moved on to a different pond. Thanks to our friends at the DNR for providing the permit to carry out these actions.
In the future, it is best to chase off the geese before they nest. We used several methods listed on the DNR website and found a laser pointer and chasing with a stick to work best. If you have a dog that is not scared of the the geese (like Bailey), that works great as well!
